Community Health Nurses
Dundee Healthy Living Initiative has Community Health Nurses (Registered Nurses) as part of the team, who are able to offer a whole range of services and activities in a non-traditional manner. This means that health services are brought into the community and offered in non-clinical settings, such as community centres, shopping centres, pubs and sheltered housing complexes. A range of activities offered by the nurses is given below:
Shop for Health
The aim of this service is to improve the health of people in Dundee by providing health information and health checks within the shopping centre, thus enabling and empowering people to make informed choices about their health.
Registered Nurses provide free confidential professional health advice and health checks. Health promotion leaflets and literature are available to take away.

Health Information Points
Nurses offer health information points within local community venues such as; community centres, pubs, shops, libraries and child and family centres. These are free and confidential.
