The Dundee Healthy Living Initiative
Mission is to promote positive health and wellbeing by delivering health improvement activities as identified by local people in areas of deprivation using a community development approach.
To provide opportunities and support for local people to meet their own health needs, share knowledge and skills within their own communities, and influence decisions about health service development and delivery.
- A list of our activities is available in our What’s On Timetable which is available from the What’s On page.

- From start of April 2015 the Dundee Healthy Living Initiative will no longer be running Smoking Cessation Groups. If you require any information on Smoking Cessation or help to quit, please phone Tayside Smoking Helpline on 08456009996
- A Dundee Food Network has been formed consisting of NHS, Dundee City Council, DHLI and third sector groups. The focus to the group is to bring together those that are working with food, either providing healthy eating groups, cooking classes, weaning groups etc. There is to be training for the group leaders who are delivering cooking classes, so that a range of groups and people can benefit from the shared knowledge and improved working practices. The Dundee Food Network is looking to hear from those working in the Third Sector who may be interested in joining the group, hearing about its work or perhaps engaging in the training. As a first step please contact Susan Smith email@example.com or Sheila Rose firstname.lastname@example.org to register an interest. There is also a Community Food and Growing Forum and if you are interested in that group (more involved in growing things, selling through cafes and markets and developing those skills), please contact Susan Smith.
